Kind words

In theirown words

I felt like someone genuinely TRULY cares about my well-being and is sincere in her suggestions and support.
Imran
Nayaab is very attentive and also spends time to explain things in detail for as long as I need. She gently makes suggestions but lets me lead the way and offers faith based counseling which is something I searched for a long time.
Aliyah V.
Sabina is such an amazing therapist! A great listener, makes you feel comfortable, and knows exactly how to target the problem. Her peaceful attitude helps me feel like I could tell her anything without any judgment.
Carmen
Great listener and makes my mind work for me! I was always stuck before. So much integrity too... it is refreshing.

Such a blessing! I feel like I am growing and learning and identifying things to improve my quality of life.

Nayaab Rais psychologist

A warm, integrative psychologist trained in CBT at the Beck Institute and in Compassionate Inquiry with Dr Gabor Maté, with further training in trauma recovery. She works with thoughts, emotions, the body and meaning together, helping people move beyond managing symptoms to understanding what drives them. She works with adults of all ages and genders on a wide range of mental health concerns, with special interests in anxiety, burnout and perfectionism in high-achievers, self-esteem and identity, and women's wellbeing. Years of leading teams mean she knows that pressure from the inside. Separately, for clients who wish to bring their faith into the room, she also offers Islamic psychotherapy as its own distinct practice.

Portrait of Sabina Mustafa
Sabina Mustafa psychologist

A calm, grounded psychologist with specialist perinatal training from the Seleni and COPE Institutes; her MSc research focused on perfectionism and parental burnout in mothers. Her practice is culturally informed, attuned to the family, relational and systemic pressures of South Asian and other collectivist cultures, where wellbeing is rarely about the individual alone. She works with adults, men and women, across anxiety, stress, low mood, perfectionism and relationships, listening first, gently mapping the patterns keeping you stuck, then working with you on small, practical changes that last. Her special interests are pregnancy, postpartum and early parenthood for mothers and fathers, including perinatal loss and grief, and burnout in parents and professionals, shaped by fifteen years in senior leadership before psychology.

FAQ

Good toknow

Therapy & coaching

Do you offer therapy or coaching?

Both. Professional licensing is set country by country, so whether we work with you in therapy or coaching depends on where you live.

We'll confirm what's right for you on your free intro call, before anything is booked.

How do I know if I need therapy?

You don't need to be in crisis. If stress, worry, low mood or a relationship has been weighing on you for a few weeks, is affecting sleep, work or the people around you, or you simply want to understand yourself better, therapy can help.

What's the difference between a psychologist, counsellor and psychiatrist?

Psychologists and counsellors offer talking therapy to help you understand patterns and build coping skills. Psychiatrists are medical doctors who can diagnose and prescribe medication. Many people benefit from both, and we can help you work out what fits.

What's the difference between therapy and coaching?

Therapy explores emotional difficulties, past experiences and patterns that affect your wellbeing. Coaching is more forward-focused, working on goals, confidence, career and life transitions. Both use evidence-based tools, and we'll help you choose.

Do you work with people living abroad?

Yes. Many of our clients are expats and families living between countries. We see clients in person and online, and understand the pressures of building a life away from home.

What do you help with?

Anxiety and panic, stress and burnout, low mood and depression, self-esteem, relationships and family, identity and life transitions, grief, trauma, and maternal mental health. If you're not sure where your concern fits, bring it to the intro call.

What kind of therapy do you offer?

Integrative, evidence-based therapy. We draw on CBT, Compassionate Inquiry and trauma-informed care, with specialist perinatal training and optional faith-integrated counselling, and shape the approach around you rather than fitting you to one method.

Can you help with anxiety and panic attacks?

Yes. We work with generalised anxiety, panic, health anxiety, overthinking and social anxiety, using practical tools to calm the body alongside deeper work on what keeps the anxiety going.

Do you work with burnout and work stress?

Yes. Burnout, chronic stress, perfectionism and people-pleasing are among the most common reasons clients come to us, especially high-achieving professionals and working parents.

Are you a Muslim therapist?

We offer faith-sensitive therapy for Muslim clients who want their beliefs, family and culture understood and respected in the room. Islamic values can be woven into the work if you'd like that. Faith is welcome here, never required, and clients of every background are welcome.

Do you support maternal and perinatal mental health?

Yes. We support mothers and their partners through trying to conceive, pregnancy and after birth, including postpartum depression and anxiety, difficult birth experiences, pregnancy loss and the identity shift of becoming a mother.

What languages are sessions in?

English, Hindi and Urdu.

Do you prescribe medication or give diagnoses?

No. We are not psychiatrists and don't prescribe. If medication or a formal assessment could help, we'll talk it through with you and refer you to a trusted psychiatrist or doctor.

Sessions & booking

Are sessions in person or online?

Both. Therapy, coaching and workshops are offered in person and online by secure video, so you can choose what suits you best.

Does online therapy really work?

Research shows online therapy is as effective as in-person therapy for most concerns, including anxiety and depression. Many clients find it easier to open up from a space where they already feel at home.

How long is a session, and how often should I come?

One-to-one sessions are 50 minutes. Most people start weekly or fortnightly, then space sessions out as things feel steadier. We'll agree a rhythm together.

How do I get started?

Book a free 15-minute intro call, or send us an enquiry on WhatsApp. We'll listen to what's bringing you here, answer your questions and help you decide if we're the right fit, with no obligation.

Is everything confidential?

Yes. What you share stays between you and your therapist. The only exceptions are the legal and safety limits we explain in your first session, such as a serious risk of harm.

Is this an emergency service?

No. If you are in crisis or at risk, please contact your local emergency number or nearest emergency department straight away.

Workshops & corporate

What are your mental wellness workshops like?

Small, guided group sessions on topics like anxiety, burnout, boundaries, self-compassion and life after baby. They're practical and warm, a gentle way to learn tools and feel less alone, without the commitment of one-to-one therapy.

Can you run an EAP or corporate wellness programme?

Yes. We design single workshops, monthly series and year-long Employee Assistance Programmes, with manager training and confidential one-to-one support for employees alongside.

Can you create a workshop for our school, clinic or community?

Yes. We partner with clinics and hospitals, schools and universities, brands and communities to create workshops for individuals or groups, shaped around the people you serve. Tell us about your audience and we'll suggest a format.
